Day 2: The White Cliffs of Denmark

I departed Hamburg and headed to the ferry in Puttgarden. Once across the ferry to Rødby, I drove to Møns Klint. The chalk cliffs and nature park were breathtaking. A Day filled with activities.

Crossing the Fehmarn Belt: Puttgarden to Rødby Ferry

Møns Klint

Møns Klint is famous for its dramatic white chalk cliffs, which rise up to 128 meters above the Baltic Sea, creating stunning and picturesque landscapes. It's also a significant geological site rich in fossils from the Cretaceous period, making it a popular destination for nature enthusiasts and fossil hunters. To get there You need to do a lot of stairs, so don't be surprised by that. But it is worth the decent.

GeoCenter Møns Klint

When you are at Møns Klint, you can also visit the GeoCenter. It's an interactive geological museum. It offers hands-on exhibits, and fossil exploration, ideal for all ages, the centre provides educational programs, workshops, and family-friendly activities, making it a must-visit for a deeper understanding of this unique natural wonder. It also has a nice coffee bar.
