When I lived and worked in Dubai, my colleagues and I really enjoyed getting away from the big city and exploring other Emirates. In the Emirate of Sharjah, we went hiking and enjoyed delicious Lokma with date syrup and a Karak. It takes about 2 hours to drive from Dubai to Khor Fakkan. It's wonderful to see how the landscape, besides the big city that makes the Emirates so famous (Dubai), is even more beautiful than you think!
