Every year, the national holiday is celebrated extensively in China. As an exchange student at Fudan University in Shanghai, this was the perfect opportunity for me and my friends to see more of the country. China is gigantic, but we took a 13-day trip during which we visited the capital Beijing, braved the Great Wall, and explored the architecture in Chongqing and nature in Chengdu. Read here why China should be your next travel destination, and what you must do during this vacation 🇨🇳 Chongqing offers a unique mix of futuristic skyscrapers and ancient traditions, set in a breathtaking mountainous landscape cut through by the mighty Yangtze River. Despite the bad weather during my visit, the experience was unforgettable. Here is my adventure in this super city!

Day 1: Chongqing - the super city
After our adventure on the Great Wall of China, we fly from Beijing to Chongqing, one of the largest and most dynamic cities in China! The super city is surrounded by mountains and cut through by the mighty Yangtze River, but is especially known for its futuristic skyscrapers and crazy elevation differences. Wulong Karst Geological Park
Elk jaar wordt in China de nationale feestdag uitgebreid gevierd. Als exchange studente aan de Fudan University in Shanghai was dit voor mij en mijn vrienden de ideale gelegenheid om meer van het land te zien. China is gigantisch, maar wij maakten een reis van 13 dagen waarin we de hoofdstad Beijing bezochten, de Grote Muur trotseerden, en de architectuur in Chongqing en natuur in Chengdu bezochten.
