When you are in the northeastern part of Sardinia, you can’t miss out on the Maddalena archipel. This natural park consists of 7 larger islands including a few of the most known beaches and snorkel spots in Sardinia.
The best way to discover the archipel is by boat since some islands don’t have roads and not accessible by ferry. We booked a catamaran excursion via Get Your Guide and loved our relaxing day at sea.
Your day starts around 10am in the harbor of Palau where you enter the boat. With an Italian espresso in your hands you set sail for the first islands. After an hour you reach the first swimming spot where you can go snorkeling and relaxing on the beach. After which you will be served an ‘aperitivo’. The captain searches for an empty bay to anchor for lunch while his mate prepares a delicious pasta lunch. In the afternoon you’ll visit the famous natural swimming pool with Spiaggia del Cavaliere. After another snorkeling session you sail back to Palau to end the day around 5 pm.
Be sure to go for this specific excursion via Get Your Guide or book directly with sardiniacatamaran.com and ask for a tour with Filippo and Marco to have the best guides in town. 😉
