There are multiple well-know lakes in Bavaria for ex. the Eibsee, the Königssee. But nobody seems to talk/know about the Hintersee. Which in our experience was just as beautiful but way less touristy/commercial. If u don't like crowded places but still like to do beautiful hikes, this hike perfect while through the Bavarian alps. The hike we did started at the Hintersee and ended at the klausbachtal hangbrücke. The hike we did was +- 13 km long. We first did a walk around the Hintersee, it's a 45 min. walk with a great view of the lake. Afterwards we hiked up to the Hängebrücke in the Klausbachtaler national park. The national park is a less discovered beauty of the Bavarian region. We saw multiple golden eagles fly past during our hike.
