A tour in the Sahara desert
As an introduction to the Sahara desert we drove with a 4x4 to see some local musicians, the irrigation system in the desert and on our last stop we went sandboarding at sunset.
Small introduction to the irrigation system in the desert
We booked an introduction trip in the Sahara desert via our stay (Desert berber fire camp). First our host drove us around in a 4x4 to the local irrigation system where we were given a quick explanation about the water system in the Sahara desert.
Local musicians
We did a quick stop at a local town where we saw some musician perfom form us. They used traditional instruments and wore traditional clothes.
A quick visit to the mines
After we went to see the mines which are situated in the desert. We saw some people making jewelry out of the gemstones that are harvested from the mines.
Sandsurfing at sunset
We finished the day by sandsurfing at sunset. This is a must do in the desert! Our host even brought us some beers and after the sweaty part we chilled in the sand a watched the sun set.
