Oysters, Zeeland Breezes & Japanese dinner in Rotterdam
We explored Zeeland with Mazda, stopping at The Oesterij in Yerseke to see how oysters are grown and prepared with care and tradition. Tasting fresh oysters by the water was the perfect way to slow down and appreciate craftsmanship—something Mazda values just as much. After driving over the impressive Oosterscheldekering with Mazda, we checked into the beautiful Hotel New York in Rotterdam. In the evening, we had dinner at Kyatcha, where our delicious food reflected the same Japanese craftsmanship and attention to detail that Mazda brings to every journey.

Discover Zeeland’s Oyster Craft at De Oesterij
Just like Mazda values craftsmanship and thoughtful design in every detail, here too, tradition and care shape every oyster. We started with a delicious lunch of fresh oysters and other seafood by the water, an authentic way to taste this part of the Netherlands. Afterwards we did the Oesterij tour to see how oysters are farmed and prepared, learning about the craft and the methods (passed down through generations) that shape Zeeland’s seafood. We ended the day with a short workshop on how to open oysters, which was fun to try ourselves!

Japanese food at Kyatcha Rotterdam
We had dinner at Kyatcha in Rotterdam, a cozy spot known for its beautifully presented sushi and Japanese dishes. Everything was fresh and full of flavor, with creative rolls and small plates perfect for sharing. A lovely place if you feel like treating yourself to good Japanese food in the city. The care and precision in the food reflect the same spirit of craftsmanship that Mazda, crafted in Japan, brings to its design and engineering.
