Malta
Views for days, history and quaint villages
Combine some of the best things that Malta has to offer in just one day: incredible natural views, incredible historical sites and villages that catapult you back in time.

Blue Grotto
A spectacular limestone sea cave with water in all possible shades of blue is the best way to describe this grotto. You can make a short stop at a viewpoint to admire the Blue Grotto from Malta’s shores. If the weather permits it, you can also take a boat trip past this and other sea caves to admire the spectacular colours from up close. Whatever you do, start your day here, as the different shades of blue are best admired in the morning.

Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra
Only a short drive away from the Blue Grotto are Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra. These prehistoric temples are older than Stonehenge and the Pyramids of Giza! If you even have the slightest interest in history, this a must visit. The temples are truly fascinating and you even can still enter some parts of the structures.

Ghar Lapsi
This small fishing town hasn't much to offer, but it's the perfect lunch stop. The sea views from here are sweeping and if you want to and the sea is calm, you can go for a plunge in the natural pool.

Dingli Cliffs
The Dingli Cliffs offer some of the best views in the whole nation of Malta. Just make a quick stop at the viewpoint or go for a longer walk if you want to.

Mdina & Rabat
Neighbouring Mdina and Rabat are two charming villages you cannot miss when visiting Malta. While Rabat has its assets, Mdina is the town that truly stole my heart. Just enter the city gate and wander the small streets and squares to feel as if you've travelled back in time or ended up in a historical movie.
