Morning stroll in Haga
Start your day in Haga, the city’s oldest and most charming neighborhood. It’s filled with wooden houses, small artisan and vintage shops you can peek into, and cafés that have been around for years. Stop at Caffè Matteo for a coffee outside and enjoy a classic Swedish fika

Exploring Kronhusbodarna
From Haga, walk over to Kronhusbodarna, one of the oldest parts of the city. The old brick buildings now house small craft workshops and boutiques, where you can browse local handmade goods and watch artisans at work.

Lunch at the Market Hall
Next, head to the Market Hall (Saluhallen) in the city center for lunch. This lively food hall has everything from fresh bread and cheeses to local delicacies and international dishes, making it a fun spot to taste your way through Swedish flavors.

Gothenburg’s 'fish church': Feskekôrka
One of Gothenburg’s most famous landmarks is Feskekôrka, literally “the fish church.” This indoor fish market got its name because the building looks a bit like a gothic church. Inside, you’ll find fresh fish and seafood straight from the west coast, sold by local vendors. It’s the perfect spot to try Swedish specialties like shrimp, mussels, or even a herring sandwich. The building is an iconic part of the city’s history.

A green afternoon at Palmhuset
Slow down in the afternoon with a visit to Palmhuset in Trädgårdsföreningen park. This 19th-century greenhouse, filled with exotic plants, is a peaceful escape right in the middle of the city and perfect for a relaxed stroll.

Sunset at Skansen Kronan
Right before sunset, make your way to Skansen Kronan, a historic hilltop fortress. It's a very short climb with some stairs, and you get views over the city in return.

Dinner at Tacos & Tequila
Finish your day at Tacos & Tequila, a lively spot where you can enjoy Mexican food. The restaurant has a really fun outdoor seating area, perfect for enjoying a late summer evening, and a super cool Mexican-inspired interior that adds to the vibe.

Nighty night at Hotel Eggers
Step back in time at Hotel Eggers. The interiors are grand and elegant, but it never feels stiff or formal, mainly thanks to the incredibly friendly staff who make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The location couldn’t be better. Right across from the central station, with trams, trains, and ferries just outside the door, it’s super easy to explore Gothenburg or even take a day trip out to the islands.
