An impressive canyon in the middle of the national park, worth hiking to and exploring.
Hiking deep into the Canyon
You can hike into the canyon from Silana, which is on the SS125 between Dorgali and Baunei. First you have to descend for more than two hours all the way into the canyon along a well-trodden path. Once you enter the canyon, it is rather climbing and scrambling over rocks while following colored dots. You can follow the green dots to where the canyon is only four meters wide. Then you can continue with the orange dots (more difficult) and the red dots (technical climbing). To hike back up, another 700 vertical meters await you! It's a tough hike but definitely worth it!

Mini road trip along the SS125
The SS125 is a beautiful road that runs between Dorgali and Baunei and takes you right through the Gennargentu National Park and the Gulf of Orosei. It is a road full of hairpin turns but also impressive views. You have views of the Canyon Gorropu and limestone cliffs that lead to hidden beaches and a bright blue sea.
