Spain
hiking for the view
For this day, we put our hiking boots back on for a nice walk around the Laguna Negra. It's a more touristic spot, but not too much. You arrive at a huge parking where most people start their hike just at the tip of the Laguna Negra. We hiked all the way up to have a view from above, and further. Most tourists don't come that far, so enjoy the beautiful nature that is hidden behind the Laguna Negra.

Laguna Negra
Laguna Negra is one of the most visited attractions in the province of Castile and Leon in Spain. The beautiful lake is located at an altitude of approximately 1750 m in the middle of the Picos de Urbion mountain range. The lake, which is colored black (negra) but also green (verde), is located in a unique environment flanked by steep walls. Wooden boardwalks lead hikers along the east side of the lake and provide some unique photo spots. We walk from the lake further to the highest peak of the mountain range (Pico de Urbion - 2228 m) with an amazing panorama.

Molinos de Duero
Molinos de Duero is a small village near the river the Duero, and is all about peace and quiet. We had a little stop over here to enjoy a fresh drink on the terrace. We already did a roadtrip where we slept in this village, which is definitely recommended! For this roadtrip, we drove further to the next sleeping spot: Neila.
