Morocco
Time to hit the road!
Time to hit the road and stop at some stunning viewpoints, an old abandoned movie set in the middle of the desert and the famous city of Aït Benhaddou. Spend the night under a starry sky in an authentic Kasbah in the Skoura oasis.

Tizi n'Tichka viewpoint
Follow the Tizi n'Tichka Mountain Pass from Marrakesh towards Ouarzazate. Stop at the top of the mountain to look back on the windy road you just conquered. There might be some locals trying to sell souvenirs, so it's worthwhile to have cash on you.
Rent a car in Marrakesh airport for the duration of your trip

Lunch at Restaurant Rafik
Just when you are getting hungry, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find a huge restaurant / souvenir shop along the road. The perfect stop for a delicious kebab lunch, with a stunning view. It's usually frequented by tour buses, but if you're lucky and time it right, you might have the place all to yourself!

Abandoned movie set 'The Hills Have Eyes 2'
If you have time for a short detour and are in the mood for something different, take the turn off towards 'Gas Haven', one of the movie sets where The Hills Have Eyes 2 was filmed. You can walk around freely (it's not that big) and the road there feels like you are on a different planet, so worth it!

UNESCO site Aït Benhaddou
Visit the historic fortified village of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Entirely made out of compressed earth, clay and wood, the 'ksar' has recently been restored to its old glory, according to authentic methods. I loved how the old city was alive with little artist shops and beautiful carpets on display.

Sleep at Kasbah Ait Ben Hadda
End your day at the stunning Kasbah Ait Ben Hadda in Skoura. Relax next to the fire-place while enjoying a huge home-made tajine dinner, then go outside to gaze at the incredible starry sky (or go for an evening dip in the pool).
