Autumn roadtrip along the Amalfi Coast
One of the most famous coastlines in Italy, Europe or even the world: the Amalfi Coast! During summer these little pastel towns are flooded by tourists. But we planned our Naples - Pompei - Amalfi trip during autumn. No beach weather, but still a lovely autumn sunny day along the 'limoncello coast' of Campania.

Scenic drive from Pompei to Ravello
From our stay FOUR Pompei we drove over the mountains to the Amalfi Coast. We took the scenic route with impressive views over Pompei and Mount Vesuvius. And we even spotted some mountain goats along the way!
Amalfi views from Villa Cimbrone in Ravello
Picture a stroll through the gardens of Villa Cimbrone in Ravello during the crisp autumn on the Amalfi Coast. While the colorful flowers weren't stealing the show (we were there in autumn, after all), the charm of the place was still undeniable. As we wandered through the gardens we arrived at an impressive arch at the far end of the garden. And then, there it was – a spot with a view that took our breath away! From this terrace, the view over the Amalfi Coast absolutely beautiful, with the sea shimmering in the autumn sunlight and cozy villages dotting the cliffs. This is a must-visit viewpoint during your trip along the Amalfi coast!

Stroll along the coast and streets of Amalfi
Amalfi is the town that gave this famous coastline its name. This is a rather small coast town along the Amalfi coast but still worth a stop along your road trip. We enjoyed here a delicious pasta lunch with views on the beach and sea.
Enjoy the incredibly beautiful scenic drive from Amalfi to Positano.

Sunset in Positano
During autumn the days are rather short over here. We had sunsets at 4.30 pm each day. So we had to hurry to catch the sunset. On the other hand we had the luck to drive the beautiful road from Amalfi to Positano during golden hour. Once arrived we hurried down the winding stairs of Positano to catch sunset on the beach.
