Day 1: Welcome to Pongola Game Reserve
Today you enter Pongola Game Reserve via the South Entrance Gate. Via a gravel road you go on a 45 minute self-drive towards the base camp of AfriCamps. Once arrived you have the rest of the evening to relax in the hot tub, fire up the 'braai' and simply enjoy the 'African television' by watching the sunset and see the wildlife come for a drink at the water hole in front of your tent.
Enter Pongola Game Reserve via the South Entrance Gate
Via the South Entrance Gate you enter the game reserve. Prepare yourself for a 45 minute self-drive where you will spot colorful birds, lots of impalas, warthogs (Pumba!), zebras, ostriches and if you are lucky even giraffes, wildebeests or other large wildlife.
Braai at your boutique glamping tent
Relax the rest of the evening at the deck of your tent, while preparing a braai at the fireplace. Enjoy the sunset and the wildlife that wander around the water hole near the camp.
