Afternoon
Maclear's Beacon, Tafelberg Road 5821, Cape Town, South Africa

Table Mountain National Park

Next up: Table Mountain! We took the cable car to the top and back. Be aware that there can be a very long queue. A normal return ticket will cost you € 25 but you'll probably need to wait for 1-2h. before you can enter the cable car. We went for a fast lane ticket that literally costs double, but it was worth every penny if you consider skipping the entire line and avoid a 2h. queue uncovered from the sun at almost 40°C. At the top we tight our shoes and went for a long hike on the plateau of Table Mountain all the way to Maclear's Beacon. Along the rim of Table Mountain we enjoyed incredible panoramas over the city, Robben Island, Soccer Stadium and Signal Hill. Make sure to bring plenty of water, the hike is long and it can be very hot at the top.
