Wadi Rum
When you make a roadtrip in Jordan, Wadi Rum is one of the place you absolutely have to visit! Wadi Rum is a protected area of 720 square km, and is also on the UNESO list of world heritage. But ... the area is also very popular and that means also a lot of garbage and a lot of cars crossing the desert. But despite these things it was one of the highlights of our Jordan Trip.
Wadi Rum Village and campsite
The beauty and especially wideness of the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan is actually indescribable. The vast Wadi Rum has no highlights or top attractions, it is simply one gigantic highlight. Not surprisingly, the Wadi Rum is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The best way to experience this area is by jeep tour. In the Wadi Rum Village (not much to see here) a guide picks you up and brings you to the campsite. Our first moments in the back of the pick-up truck, and there were many more to come!
