Ieronimus Tower - Best view of Salamanca

Nestled in the historic heart of Salamanca, the Ieronimus Tower is an absolute must-visit! Climbing the steps of the Medieval tower, you will be rewarded with panoramic views overlooking the Gothic and Romanesque architecture of the "Golden City", as well as bird's-eye glimpses inside the majestic New Cathedral. Be warned, the section inside the Cathedral is not for those with a fear of heights, as you are véry high up on an old balustrade - with lots of cracks, once you start paying too much attention ;). Truly an awe-inspiring experience, you will be walking across the cathedral rooftop (how cool?!), learning about the history of the Old and New Cathedrals, and seeing the intricate craftsmanship of the tower itself up close. All this for only €4pp - including a very handy QR audio guide!

Ávila, renowned for its well-preserved medieval walls, invites you to step back in time. The city’s walls, dating back to the 11th century, are among the best-preserved in Europe and were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. A walk along the ramparts provides spectacular views of the city and the surrounding countryside. Key sections to explore include the Puerta del Alcázar and the Puerta de San Vicente. As you stroll the 2,5km walls, you can discover more info on their history and construction via a handy QR audio guide - they even have a special kids' version too.
