Wining & hiking
Busy day: walking through Cape Town, wine tasting in Franschhoek and sunset hike on Lion's Head.

Morning, Cape Town!
Start your day by walking through the (safe) streets in Cape Town. We made a fun walk starting from our hotel (Kensington Place) all the way down to the Victoria Waterfront. On that way, you'll pass Kloof Street with a lot of nice shops and, if you're lucky, some local markets.
Drive for about an hour to the lovely wine region close to Cape Town: Franschhoek

Wine tasting & lunch at La Grande Provence
You can't visit CT without visiting the neighbouring wine regions (Stellenbosch and Franschhoek). The wineries here do not only have great wines, but are also really impressive just to look at. I searched a long time to find one with a nice view over the typical hills/mountains you find here, and bumped into La Grande Provence. A dream of a lunch spot. A lot of weddings get organized here too, and you can immediately see why. It's a renovated farm, located right in the middle of hundreds of metres of vineyards. Oh, and the food is good, too ;-).
Back to Cape Town, a few hours before sunset to start your hike.

Hiking Lion's Head during sunset
Prepare for quite a sportive challenge (not for pussies!): hiking up Lion's Head. You'll walk for about an hour uphill and have an impressive view over Cape Town from here. One that just can't be missed. Perfect for sporty ones that don't just want to take the cable car up Table Mountain (yes, that's an option too 😁). I loved to see the colours of the sky change every single minute.
