Luxembourg
The start of a 2-day hike
Route 2 of the Mullerthal Trail promises a truly immersive experience of nature and adventure. Through rocks and woods, of we go!

Starting point: downtown Consdorf
We started our hike on Route 2 of the Mullerthal Trail in Consdorf, Luxembourg. Since the route is circular, there are different starting points, which offers flexibility for hikers. We parked our car in the city center and set off on our adventure, knowing that we would eventually end up where we started.

Crossing the Kuelscheier crevice
Leaving the streets of the village and entering the woods! We soon encountered a variety of unique rock formations, including the narrow and pitch-dark Kuelscheier rock passage. This crevice runs approximately 100 meters parallel to the Härdbaach stream valley. We even had to remove our backpacks in order to pass through!

Time for lunch!
Before embarking on our hike, we bought some bread and spreads in the center of Consdorf, which we carried with us until we found the perfect spot for lunch along the trail!

All the way to Echternach
The first day of our Mullerthal Trail hike was planned to cover 21 kilometers from Consdorf to Echternach. However, we somehow managed to cover 26 kilometers. Not sure where it went wrong... It's a good thing the hike and it surroundings are stunning!

A camping spot next to the river and some pizza
We ended our first day at camping Freibad Echternacherbrück and secured a spot right next to the river! Afther seting up camp and a shower, we went for dinner at an Italian near the campsite, as we were too tired to walk any further. Nothing better than a glass of wine and a pizza to end the first day!
