Arrival to the starting point of the walking route
Trip from Amsterdam to Bilbao with Vueling (i.e. return flight booked in advance wednesday to sunday for 107 euros). Then Bus or BlaBlaCar from Bilbao Airport to San Vicente de la Barquera.
Day 1
From the church of San Vicente we follow the signs of the Camino lebaniego that lead us along the path of the river Nansa to the village of Cades, where we can sleep in the rural hotel, La Casona del Nansa.
Walking day 2
From Cades we follow the signs of the Camino lebaniego that lead us along the path of the river Nansa to the village of Cicera, where we can sleep in the rural hotel El Molino de Cicera.
Walking day 3
From Cicera we follow the signs of the Camino lebaniego that lead us to the Hermida valley, the villages of Cabañes and Potes, the capital of the Liébana region and finally the Monastery of Santo Toribio, the end of the route.
Return to Amsterdam
From Potes we will take the bus back to San Vicente de la Barquera and from there we will return to Bilbao to catch our flight back home.
