Kayak with Adventure Valley
When we get up, it is raining heavily. Today's agenda includes a kayaking trip on one of the many rivers in Slovenia. For a moment, it is doubtful whether the trip can take place, but our guides from Adventure Valley are very confident. They put us in a wetsuit, give a briefing and not much later we are floating on the current. In the first bend, some of us go overboard. The Slovenian rivers clearly do not let themselves be pushed around. Afterwards, we were given a strong blueberry liqueur to warm us up. Something we are offered at every activity, lunch or dinner. Often homemade, because making (and drinking) your own alcohol is strongly intertwined in Slovenian culture.
Drive to Vipava Valley
After Logar Valley, a visit to the south-western Vipava Valley is on the agenda. In the north, we taste the Alps, while in Vipava a cloud of Italy hangs in the air. The valley is close to the Adriatic Sea and the rolling landscape is perfect for wine growing. Here we encounter a completely different Slovenia.
Check-in in hotel Pikol Village
Unique domain in Vipava. You will sleep in cosy cabins for two. The cabins are located on the water and are flaunting between water lilies. There is also one bigger hut for 4 persons and each hut has its own jacuzzi. In the morning, breakfast is served in a basket in front of the door.
